We Need Holy Fire!
One Saturday afternoon, Christmas Evans, a famous Welsh preacher, was ascending Cader Idris on his way to a preaching engagement. Suddenly, he became convicted of "a cold heart." The road was lonely, so he dismounted and tethered his horse, and went some distance. He then cast himself before God in agony and self-despair. He confessed his own sins, and the sins of the churches under his care. The fountains of the deeps within him were broken up. Tears flowed, followed by the Holy Spiritís fiery baptism of love and power. This event affected the whole of his subsequent ministry, and a revival broke out which soon spread throughout the whole of Wales.
"The church is powerless without the fire of the Holy Ghost. Destitute of fire, nothing else counts; possessing fire, nothing else really matters."
