Bearing Fruit Together For His Glory
"By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit…" (John 15:8).
Thank you, dear friends, who help Herald of His Coming sow revival and salvation messages. The Herald staff knows that the Lord’s blessing upon this ministry comes as a result of your prayers, your generosity and your encouragement. We praise Him for your partnership and the way He works through your support to touch many lives.
For example, a reader recently sent this testimony: "What you have done and what you are doing in my life cannot be overemphasized. I started receiving Herald of His Coming in the early 1980’s. To God be the glory, you have trained an evangelist. Enclosed are some of the works you trained me to be doing for my generation. I love Herald of His Coming so much. It is helping me, my family, my ministry and my country through me. Your labor in the Lord cannot be in vain. You are watering me to water others."
How wonderful it is to see the work of the Lord multiply! The seeds you help the Herald ministry sow are bearing fruit in the lives of others, who are in turn sowing seeds into the lives of others. And all of this is to the glory of our Heavenly Father!
We are especially thankful for your support given the difficult economic times many are experiencing. This is such an important time to be sowing the Lord’s message, and yet, it is also a time when resources are strained. We praise the Lord for sustaining the work of Herald of His Coming and Herald International through friends like you. Our prayer is that "He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness" (2 Cor. 9:10).
This issue of the Herald emphasizes the significance of sharing the Gospel with others, and the need for the power of the Holy Spirit upon us as we do so. All around us are lost and needy people who are in desperate need of someone with the power of God to share His message and love with them. Our Lord wants no one to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance and salvation (1 Tim. 2:4; 2 Pet. 3:9). He calls us into His work as His witnesses, and He promises to empower us by His Spirit (Acts 1:8).
Please join us in praying that the Lord will work through these messages to encourage readers in their outreach. Pray that readers will develop a greater hunger and thirst for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and that the Lord will pour out His Spirit afresh upon them. Pray for many individuals and churches to experience revival that will in turn help awaken the lost.
As we see more and more indications that we are living in the last of the last days, the need for ministry intensifies. The Apostle Peter writes, "The end of all things is at hand; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another…. As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever…" (1 Pet. 4:7-11).
Please pray for the Lord to work through Herald of His Coming in these last days to help readers be full of discernment, faithful in prayer, fervent in love, faithful in service, and full of the grace of God, the strength of God and the Word of God. Join the staff in asking the Lord to expand the outreach of the Herald in the days ahead so that this ministry may bear more fruit to His glory. Pray that the Herald’s revival literature will reach more believers, and that more of the salvation literature will reach the lost. Ask for His anointing to be upon all Herald materials.
Thanks again to all of you who have offered support for the work done on the Herald office building. The additional space is of tremendous help to the present work, and also provides space for the ministry to expand. Even as I write this, twelve skids of packages of Heralds are in the shipping/receiving area of the addition, and are scheduled to be shipped today! Please join us in giving thanks to the Lord for the economical and efficient building He has provided, and for the resources for Herald mailings to continue to flow out from this place.
