Declaring His Glory In Zimbabwe

"God loves Zimbabwe! He loves its people!" writes Godfrey Ndiriwenyu. "He wants to do for this nation more than any man can ever think or imagine. Times may be difficult, discouraging and dark. The truth from the Word of God is that dawn is before daylight. Soon and very soon we shall all be basking in the true light of a mighty revival. Sin killing revival, heaven sent revival, Christ honoring revival, devil defying revival, and family uniting revival."

One can’t help but sense the excitement and anticipation of seeing our God at work when hearing from Godfrey Ndiriwenyu, Herald representative for Zimbabwe. Living in Bulawayo with his wife, Sifelani, and their three children, Godfrey is a man on fire for the Lord. His passion for people to experience revival is the same whether working with the local congregation or handling letters and reports for Herald of His Coming.

Over 2,800 copies of the English Herald are currently mailed to readers in Zimbabwe. Godfrey states, "Our nation is going through some very hard and traumatic times. The economic situation is pathetic. Eighty percent of the population is not working. There is a shortage of most basic things. As I am writing, there is no meal mill, which is our basic food, in our shops. Recently we had an all night interdenominational prayer meeting at our churches where we were praying specifically for our nation. We have reached a place where we need no one else but God Himself to intervene. It is touching to see how the Herald has continued to be a beacon of light at such a time as this in Zimbabwe"...as readers write:

"Thank you very much for sending me the Herald every month. This is my only hope of hopes." – from Troubeck

"Just want to let you know how much I appreciate the messages of the Herald. Thank you for the timely encouragement and the faith building articles. You will never know how much blessings the Herald has brought into my life. Love without measure is what I have received from the Herald. How I wish that all would know Him and could see what a price He paid on our behalf to save us when He went to Calvary." – from Gweru

"Thank you very much for sending me the Herald papers. I appreciate all the articles and I read the paper throughout. My youth prayer group has also been helped so much." – from Harare

"Thanks for sending me the Herald of His Coming magazine. Since I started receiving the magazine in August of 2004, it has helped my spiritual growth. The magazine has been used of the Lord to wake me up from my spiritual slumber and prayerlessness. It made me to start to pray for my family...I am very sorry for not being in touch with you for such a long time and not being able to help you at a time such as this. But please let it be known to you all that we are together in prayers." – from Redcliff

"Sincere thanks for the continued sending of the Herald. Please do continue to send me the paper for my spiritual growth. Prayers here are being offered on your behalf." – from Hwange

Godfrey further shares, "The Herald has challenged the saved and not saved to have a relook at their lives and their relationship with God. Its anointed messages have had great impact on people. People have walked long distances to our house only to express their great appreciation of the Herald. Some have gone to Bible College when they took the Herald messages seriously. We have received letters from inmates in prison who accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and have started prayer groups right there in prison."

The Lord has graciously allowed Herald of His Coming another opportunity to bless the people of Zimbabwe. Herald messages are now being translated by Godfrey in the Shona language. When asked how the Shona translation would be beneficial to the Lord’s work, Godfrey explained, "Mharidzo Yokuuya Kwake, the Shona Herald, will help to reach the less educated, rural and even urban population of Zimbabwe. There are a lot of people here who due to financial problems did not reach the secondary level of education to polish up and modify their understanding of the English language. Their mother language, Shona, is the best channel of communication. It will be good for us to use our day to day language to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

"The Shona Herald will also target the old and not so educated Church leaders especially those who are in the rural areas of Zimbabwe. We aim for Mharidzo to be a teaching tool so as to straighten and polish their Biblical knowledge. There is a lot of religious mixture because of less teaching, thus we want the Mharidzo to fill that gap of dealing with Biblical malnutrition."

To those who offer support through prayer and financial gifts, Godfrey says, "First, please accept my tears of joy for all that you have been doing to all of us here. Secondly, I thank God who has connected me with such a blessed people. Thirdly, do not be weary in well doing for in due season you shall reap abundantly from the Holy throne of grace. He who has called you is faithful and He will reward you in due season. ‘Therefore my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord’" (1 Cor. 15:58).

Please join us in praying:

* For the Lord’s fullest blessing and anointing upon this new edition. May the messages be saturated in the power of God and bless those who will listen.

* For a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit of Revival on Zimbabwe. "Will You not revive us again, O Lord, so that Your people may rejoice in You?"

* For the Lord to lead and guide in His will. We want all that is said and done to be for His glory.

* For the funds to purchase a computer which will be used for typing translations and day to day correspondence in Zimbabwe.

We have been prayerfully seeking the Lord’s will regarding a Shona Herald for the past nine months. A seed gift of $500 has been given and soon we will receive the first handwritten translation. Once it is typed and proofread, copies will be made and mailed to Godfrey for distribution throughout Zimbabwe. Please write us today with your response if God puts it on your heart to reach out through the Shona Herald declaring His Glory in Zimbabwe.
