Praying Through the Window 7 is a worldwide prayer initiative focusing on the political and spiritual leaders of the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window represents a rectangular area of the world, extending from 10 degrees to 40 degrees north of the equator and spanning the globe from western Africa to eastern Asia. Over four billion people live here and most of these have never heard the Gospel message even once. Why not? Many of these nations lack religious freedom. Their religion is dictated by their political and spiritual leaders. When God wants to change a country, He moves on the hearts of His people to pray. We believe that sustained, specific prayer for the political and spiritual leaders of the 10/40 Window can transform these 68 nations and their leaders.

- Every major non-Christian religion is based here. Islam is the predominant religion in 47 of these countries, Buddhism in 12, Hinduism in two, tribal religions in two, Christianity in four, Judaism in one, and atheism in one.

- According to Open Doors International, 43 of the 50 worst countries in the world for persecution of Christians are here.

- Research shows that at least 26 countries in the Window are Gospel-ready!

Won’t you join with millions of believers around the world as we pray fervently, knowledgeably, and faithfully to break through the strongholds and advance the Kingdom in this part of the world? The reality is, we can spend time now to pray, go, and invest the finances needed to reach these people with the Gospel, or we can spend time and billions of dollars later to defend ourselves against the tyrannical dictators and evil fanatics that we help create by doing nothing.

How To Use The
"Praying Through the Window 7"
Calendar On Page 8

- Copy and distribute this calendar in your sphere of influence. Keep the calendar handy so you’ll remember to pray regularly.

- Encourage your church, family, and friends to pray.

- Talk to your pastor about organizing a Concert of Prayer for the 10/40 Window countries.

- Look for opportunities to speak publicly about the spiritual needs in the 10/40 Window.

- Watch the news about the 10/40 Window nations and pray accordingly.

- Keep praying for the 10/40 Window after October.

- Consider taking a prayer journey to a 10/40 Window country. You’ll meet the people you are praying for, experience their culture, visit their neighborhoods, and expand your heart for them. Praying on site can have a dramatic effect on your prayers.

"Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm. The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD" (Psalm 33:8-12).

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:1-4 NIV).
