As Christians, we owe a great debt of gratitude to the Jews. Our Old Testament came to us through Jewish prophets who were moved upon by the Holy Spirit. It was the Jews whom God sovereignly chose as the channel through which He would give to the world the Messiah Ė the blessed Savior of mankind!

Through the years, men and devils have tried to destroy the Jewish people. But Godís love for them is unfailing. They are miraculously regathering in Israel today. In Jeremiah 30:11 we read Godís Word to them: "Though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee."

But it is today as it was when the Apostle John wrote his Gospel: "He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name" (John 1:10-12). The Apostle Paul yearned over his people and wrote: "My heartís desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved" (Rom. 10:1). Ought we not to pray likewise? And can we go a step farther, and present material to them to help them be saved?
