Prayers of Praise for the Family!
 By Kim Butts

Do you ever run out of words to describe our powerful, amazing Lord as you pray?  The Bible has a well that never runs dry.  We can dip into this wondrous source of praise and lift our voices together as a family to glorify God.  Here are 16 days of prayers that offer praise to Him in a multitude of ways.  As you begin to praise Him in prayer about His character and attributes, you will begin to see how Scripture becomes a vital part of your prayer vocabulary.  Each day you can experience fresh, exciting prayers with which to worship Christ the King.  Read each Scripture out loud together, or take turns each day.  Then, pray from your hearts what you have proclaimed, or use the example we have written for you.  You may even wish to sing a hymn or chorus of praise together.  May He be praised as we focus our attention on the One Who is worthy!

For those of you who have just completed 40 days of prayer for your cities, nations and the world during Seek God for the City/PrayWorld!/PrayUSA!, you realize that this prayer effort culminated on Palm Sunday.  What better way to celebrate the season of Christ’s resurrection than to continue on with Prayers of Praise?  Perhaps the month of May would be just such a time!  However, you can use these Scriptures and prayers whenever you wish to focus on the attributes of the Most High God and to give Him praise together as a family!
